driving around today anna nalick's song BREATHE came on the radio... a few minutes into it, i realized, i was singing along WITH EVERY WORD!!!
how scary is that? i mean, nothing against nalick or the song - it is a pleasant enough jewel-esque folk-pop concoction - not great, but certainly not horrible - i might even call it good. were i on american bandstand, i'd give it a 75 - which isn't bad, considering you can't dance to it...
what is odd is how a song like that infiltrates one's conscious. i can't help but think that were my brain not filled with lyrics to BREATHE, chumbawumba's TUBTHUMPING and dee-lite's GROOVE IS IN THE HEART (astronomical) i might have achieved great things in life...if folks only use 10% of their brains, i'm guessing the other 90% holds lyrics to pop songs...
in related news, i saw some smug fashionistas bashing bjork's swan dress - well, when any of those idiots create one thing on the level of bjork, perhaps i will listen - until then, they ought just shut the hell up...

I'm no fashionista, but you gotta admit, the swan dress was pretty freakin' ghastly.
hmm - bjork is a very creative artist, at a frou frou event where folks take themselves and clothes waaay too seiously... i applaud the swan dress...
works for me better that "rockers" in armani...
or perhaps this just goes to show i'm willing to overlook a lot for folks i like
I think the Bjork dress was a huge success. I mean, how many years ago was it, and we're STILL talking about it? (That, and Lara Flynn Boyle's ballerina disaster.)
How many people can remember what Mariah Carey wore to whatever award show however many years ago?
Exactly. Plus, Bjork is cute. She can dress up like a freaking ball park hot dog and look charming.
