bjork live
been streaming some live recordings of bjork on real rhapsody (debut live, post live etc...) they feature live versions from their namesake albums and more.
great stuff - live versions very different than studio - in some cases i prefer them - very creative and unusual intrumentation...
yet, i don't see these albums anywhere on amazon, etc...
what gives?

ok - i think i got it...
these are the individuial records from a boxed set...it shows up now in amazon - maybe recently released/re-released....
I remember reading somewhere that there are plans to open up the live box sets and sell them individually.

...they are distributed by Navarre Corp., a secondary market vendor. Some are audio only tracks of performance DVD's, or other concert tapes. I have found them in Borders Books. The Family Tree box set includes two mini-cds of Bjork with the Brodsky string quartet - absolute ecstasty!...I have seen a bootleg of this material but was wary of its sound quality...there is a ton of stuff out there and almost all of it is very good IMHO...if you are into performance DVDs, the one to get is Live At The Royal Opera House. Very challenging!

I'll second the Royal Opera House dvd recommendation. It's fantastic.

...Inner part of...- the making of Medulla, good documentary with lots of her at work making Medulla. I've got it - it's a little short - might have been a BBC Production? Worthwhile, not a must to own...depends on just how infatuted you are...?
