Adriane Lake: Morning Glow

I picked up Adriane Lake's Morning Glow from iTunes. This record combines uplifting lyrics, Ms. Lake's lovely voice and retro-ish electronics to make for very pleasant, enjoyable listening. The layered arrangements are very good, without being too busy. It mixes vocal numbers and instrumentals to good effect. My personal favorite is the whimsical JACQUES COUSTEAU. The music here is charming without being cloying, simple and fun without being trite.
