ok, call me a geek...
but we were in town partly for my wife to see her fave sci-fi actor, from her favorite show (michael shanks - stargate) , and lo-and-behold, *my* favorite sci-fi actor, from my favorite show, was there as well...jewel staite from firefly/serenity...
so risking being labelled a geek for life (as though, i wasn't already) i bought a day ticket just to hear her speak and it was worth it. she's a charmer...on firefly/serenity, she is perhaps the cutest ship engineer in sci-fi history (beating out scotty, geordie laforge and chewbacca). no wonder, she has such geek appeal....

at this point, kristin, you should be posting how brave i am to admit my geek tendencies and how that actually makes me cooler than cool - or something...
Personally, I think any man, sci-fi geek or not, would find Jewel a hottie! I'd be more concerned with those who didn't ;)

now that you mention it, she is kinda pretty, i guess, if you like that sort...
