electronic music...
i am looking for some good electronic music to listen to - ambient - not dance oriented - or new age-y. tangerine dream or eno-esque - any suggestions?

Hmm, how much Eno have you heard? Three of my favorites are 'Neroli', 'The Shutov Assembly' and 'Thursday Afternoon'. They're all quite atmospheric. There's a ton of other pepople, but my brain isn't functioning at the moment.
